William "Bill" Ventres

Career Story: 

After residency and fellowship, I worked for 20 years in safety net clinics in Arizona and Oregon. I just moved to El Salvador where I am teaching in a MPH program and consulting with their Ministry of Health on health care reform.

Notable Personal Accomplishments: 

Being an active dad of two great kids.

Notable Professional Accomplishments: 

Awarded Fulbright Scholarships to teach in Venezuela and El Salvador.Won the 2007 STFM Research Paper Award.

Favorite Recreational Activity: 

Biking, swimming, dancing.

Personal Story: 

My son Roby and daughter Cory are now, respectively, 21 and 19 years old. They are both in college, Roby in Washington State and Cory in Massachusetts.
