Career Story:
From residency to 1993 I worked at Sage Memorial Hospital in Ganado, AZ (Navajo Nation). Then moved to Flagstaff to a private group practice until 2002, when I worked at an urban Indian clinic (Native Americans for Community Action - NACA) until March 2010. At that point I started at a new urban Indian clinic in Flagstaff.I also write fiction. I got an MFA in writing at Vermont College in 2006 and published a novel in 2009 which won an Arizona Book Award.
