Sean Yang, MD

Career Story:

After completing high school in Los Angeles, CA, I decided that L.A. was too much like home and needed to expand my spectrum. With family in Utah, I moved to Salt Lake City. Before I realized, I had spent most of my adult life in Utah. I graduated from the University of Utah with a bachelor's degree in Economics and Chemistry. I received my M.D. from the University of Utah School of Medicine. I enjoyed the outdoor activities Utah has to offer; ski/snowboarding, golfing, and cycling. After spending a decade in Utah, my wife and I wanted to get away from the white winters. Our first experience in Arizona was when we came to watch the Utah Ute play in the Fiesta Bowl. That's when we fell in love with the southwest and I joined the University of Arizona Family Medicine residency program. After residency, I joined a group practice in Mukilteo, WA.

Favorite Recreational Activity:

Outside of work, we continue to enjoy the outdoor activities.

Favorite Memory from Residency:

My wife and I completed the Tour de Tucson together, 109 mile bike ride, five months later Jonathan was born.

Personal Story:

I was born and raised in Taipei, Taiwan and moved to the U.S. at the age of seventeen. My wife and I had our first baby boy, Jonathan, at the end of my intern year.
