Career Story:

Since leaving my residency program at the U of A hospital I worked in Douglas, AZ in family practice for three years. There I worked with the physician that delivered all our family and took care of my family. I left Douglas and worked in Tempe and Mesa in the E.R. for three years before opening my own family practice in Tempe where I have been ever since. During my thirty plus years I also did obstetrics for twenty years until I was the only family practitioner in the city doing it. I begrudgingly quit that. We now have a five practitioner group and one of them is my son Curtis, who joined me seven years ago. Ten years ago I decided to research the Mexican health care system and their hospitals and emergency services (why? ---long story) Then three years ago my sons and I started an international medical tourism business with all the incredible contacts and facilities that we had become acquainted with. My practice takes up about ten hours a day four days a week and my medical tourism business takes up my weekends and vacations. But I love it!!
