Robert "Bob" Gentry

Career Story: 

Settled into a solo full time full spectrum family practice. Still have full hospital duties but gave up OB about ten years ago. Physician-patient connection keeps me in the saddle. My nurse Mary of 31 years, my xray tech/'girl-friday' Jolene of 27 years, and front office Lisa of 21 years keep me sane (and in my place).Joined Air National Guard in F-16 (now F-15) unit as flight surgeon, 21 years in and enjoying it still.

Notable Personal Accomplishments: 

#1 Raising three highly competent happy centered children. Also guiding my Air National Guard Medical Group to an Outstanding. Served nine years on our independent practice association (IPA_ board, and six years as board chairman.)

Staying long term as a solo primary care doc

Favorite Recreational Activity: 

Bowhunting elk, upland game-bird hunting with my black Lab, woodworking, foreign travel, projects around the ranch, running to stay fit

Hanging around with Lana and Dave, fixing up our old house

Personal Story: 

Married to Canadian wife Phyllis 35 years, three OUTSTANDING kids who epitomize our family philosophy of bequeathing them strong roots and strong wings.
