Career Story: 

A short run at private practice in Carmel, CA, followed by 30 years in family medicine academia in Merced, CA and then Tyler, TX. Now I'm working even harder than ever as a hospitalist in Jacksonville, TX (21-bed rural access hospital). Also doing part time work making home visits for hospice.

Accepting Jesus Christ as my personal savior.

Contributor to Winter Griffith's 5-Minute Clinical Consult (now Domino's); Residency Assistance Plan (RAP) and Residency Program Solutions (RPS) consultant for AAFP; item writer for ABFM; reviewer for Baldrige National Quality Award; named Chair Emeritus of Family Medicine for University of Texas System.

Favorite Recreational Activity: 

Trying to stay physically fit; travel; trying to stay physically fit while travelling.

Birth of first son

Married Phyllis in medical school. Still going strong. Sired Jeff when a R-3 in Tucson, Greg 3 years later.
