Michael Scott

Career Story: 

I started out in family practice for 10 yrs. I did all that I was trained for. I then got interested in addiction medicine and began to specialize in that field. That remained my specialty and I went back and completed another residency in psychiatry. I was medical director of Sierra Tucson for 14 yrs. I then went into private practice with a focus on addiction. I also teach at the university of Arizona - medical students mainly. I also lecture widely on addiction related topics.

Delivering babies was the most fulfilling time I had. I also enjoyed moonlighting in Show Low for $20 per hour and 48 hours straight

I am recently divorced. I have 3 children all grown up and 5 grandchildren. All live in Tucson except my daughter who lives in Salt Lake
