In 1985 I finished at the U Of A and spent 2 years in the IHS at Standing Rock IHS hospital in North and South Dakota. From 1987 to 1988 I spent a year in Tari, Papua New Guinea working with Tim Hutchinson (another FP grad from my year) working in a regional hospital for the Southern Highlands Province. Then moved to Eau Claire, Wi, where my wife Laura Tirrell finished her FP residency. We then moved to Nampa, Idaho where I have been for the last 20 years working at Terry Reilly Health Services - one of the oldest Community/Migrant Health Centers in the USA. I spent 5 years as the medical director from 2001 to 2006. We are a 9-doctor group with many midlevels. We have 6 medical clinics and work in 3 SW Idaho counties. Our practice is full scope family medicine and we continue to do about 700 deliveries a year.
Overseeing the successful expansion of our health center which involved developing 2 new clinics and adding 7 new clinicians
