Why did you choose South Campus FM residency? During my third year rotations, one of my preceptors took me to a talk she was giving at this program (shutout to Dr. Artz!), and ever since, this program has been on my mind. Everybody was so kind and helpful and I saw the same thing during my interview. The culture and camaraderie were so evident and the teaching and education looked excellent. Having a refugee clinic definitely sealed the deal!

What do you love most about Tucson? I love the culture, the food, the beautiful sunsets, the kindness of people, and the how there's always something to do in Tucson!

Tell us about your family (including pets!) I grew up with two amazing and loving parents, who mean the world to me. I am always grateful for their endless love and support. I also have two wonderful siblings, a younger brother and a younger sister, who I am very close to and cherish. I love spending time with my family.

Tell us some fun facts about you!
1: I was born in Staten Island, NY, lived most of my life in Corona, CA, and I'm originally from Damascus, Syria.
2: I enjoy Powerlifting and Olympic Weightlifting. I couldn't let COVID shut that down, so I built myself a home gym!
3: I love watching Broadway shows and love that Tucson has Centennial Hall for that. My favorite have been "Waitress," "Something Rotten!," and "The Book of Mormon."
