Career Story: 

We moved to Enumclaw, WAright out of residency and have been here ever since. My practice included OB, ER, inpatient, and office practice. Stopped OB in 85 and ER in 90. Still did inpatient until recently. I just retired after 34 years. We provided a lot (over 20%) charity care and did some teaching of medical students and nursing students. I'm still part owner of our medical building that we lease to Franciscan Medical Group - they were my employer for the past 10 years.

Notable Professional Accomplishments: 

Saw over 150.000 office visits in 34 years of practice and enjoyed almost all of it.

Favorite Recreational Activity: 

We enjoy traveling, bicycling, photography, gardening, volunteer work

Favorite Memory from Residency: 

Learned to fly - took lessons and got private pilot license at the old freeway airport. Did a lot of hiking with Neil Sullivan; used a motorcycle to travel to the outlying clinics; lived in a really hot apartment.

Personal Story: 

My wife and I have 2 grown married children - no grandchildren yet. Daughter and husband live in Alaska, son and wife live in Ridgway, CO. Mom age 89 doing well in Seattle area. I have2 brothers and 1 sister in the area.
