Jacqueline Huynh, MD

I was born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona and attended Desert Vista High School. Following family tradition, I went to Arizona State University for my undergraduate studies. Unlike the rest of the family, I studied Biochemistry with an emphasis in medicinal chemistry instead of engineering. I chose to attend medical school at the University of Arizona, College of Medicine in Tucson because I was impressed with the robustness of its community service programs. I chose this residency program because of its Integrative Medicine curriculum, which allowed me to integrate my Vietnamese heritage with the allopathic approach to medicine. I also chose this residency program because of its support of my leadership activities as a medical student. During my involvement in the AAFP, I discovered just how involved and passionate the various faculty members are in helping to shape the future of family medicine.
