Dominika Heusinkveld

Career Story: 

Since graduation, I have mostly worked for the Indian Health Service and with underserved populations in Arizona and New Mexico. I am currently the Medical Director of a small nonprofit clinic which serves mainly Native Americans but also other underserved and uninsured clients.

Notable Personal Accomplishments: 

Seeing many beautiful (and sometimes remote) places all over the world, including: Geikie Gorge, Kakadu National Park, Purnululu National Park, and the Tanami Desert in Australia; Milford Sound, Mount Cook and the Fox Glacier in New Zealand; the canals and beautiful annual Tulip Show in the Netherlands, and the lovely town of Siena, Italy. I am particularly privileged to have seen much of the stunningly beautiful Australian continent, and look forward to more travels there.

MPH degree.

Favorite Recreational Activity: 

Anything outdoors, but mainly hiking, photography, and travel.

Favorite Memory from Residency: 

My classmates! They were great people and I enjoyed working with every one of them.

Personal Story: 

I am married and have three awesome dogs.
