Academic / Professional Bio:

Where are you from?
Palo Alto, CA

Why did you choose UA Family Medicine?
I was interested in UA FM because of the focus on rural health

What are you most excited about for life in Tucson?
To use my medical knowledge to treat patients.

What are your interests or hobbies outside of Medicine?
Music - I have been playing music for most of my life. Cello was my first instrument, which I began playing when I was in 4th grade and continued until my senior year of high school. Guitar is my main instrument however. I started when I was 11 years old after being inspired from listening to my dad’s collection of Led Zeppelin albums. I was able to pick up things quick on the guitar, even learning Van Halen’s ‘Eruption’ within my first year of playing. With over 20 years of playing I consider myself an advanced guitarist (i.e. I can shred).

Fitness – I mainly like to pick up heavy things. But a friend of mine got me into hiking during this past year in Seattle where I was a prelim surgery intern. I plan to continue this newfound hobby in Tucson. After it cools down though!

Sports – My favorite sport is football. I played all four years of high school football and started at center. My dad is a fanatic for the Oregon Ducks and unfortunately this fanaticism was handed down to me.

These are just a few of many hobbies and interests!
