Where are you from?
I grew up in the Phoenix area and have basically spent my entire life in the sunny Arizona state.
Why did you choose UA Family Medicine?
During my sub-internship, all the residents were kind, inclusive and invested in my learning. The attendings are approachable and made the day fun and interesting while also getting the work done. The South Campus track provides the education that will set me up to fulfill my career goals.
What are you most excited about for life in Tucson?
I’m excited to continue experiencing the ever-growing food scene and hiking a lot more trails. I’m also excited to be able to watch the beautiful AZ sunset against the mountain backgrounds.
What are your interests or hobbies outside of Medicine?
Outside of medicine, I play tennis and have taken up journaling. I too have fallen into the sourdough trap and currently keeping up with that. I also love hosting board game nights to get people together and watch friendships disintegrate.
What are your professional interests within Medicine?
I’m currently still interested in doing full-spectrum family medicine in an underserved setting. However, Palliative and Addiction Medicine are also interesting fields that I might consider.
Favorite way to spend a day off?
I love spending time with my husband and our puppy. The day can either be staying at home relaxing or with our friends. I enjoy meeting up with friends for some food at a favorite restaurant or trying new ones.
Top item on your "Bucket list"?
My top item is to be able to see the Northern Lights in one of those glass igloos!
