Where are you from?
I’m a native Arizonan. I grew up in San Tan Valley but have been in Tucson (my home away from home) for about a decade now.
Why did you choose UA Family Medicine?
I was looking for a program that would provide me with strong training in all areas of medicine. Rural medicine is particularly important to me, so I was excited at the options to serve in smaller communities throughout Arizona. I want to embody the “jack of all trades” phrase by practicing full-spectrum medicine, so choosing a well-rounded program like UA FM South was an easy choice.
What are you most excited about for life in Tucson?
I’m a huge foodie and love the challenge of cooking new things, so I am thrilled to enjoy the culinary options that Tucson has to offer.
What are your interests or hobbies outside of Medicine?
I enjoy reading a good fantasy book or crocheting a stuffed animal or small hat. Cooking is a favorite pastime of mine along with eating, though I’m not sure which I like better.
What are your professional interests within Medicine?
POCUS, LGBTQ+ health, community health and outreach, preventive care, rural medicine
Favorite way to spend a day off?
I love spending my free time with my wife and kids, like watching movies together or playing in an imaginary world with flying bunnies and talking cars.
