Dr. Eamon C. Armstrong Joins Family and Community Medicine

Dr. Armstrong will provide clinical care and serve as the department's clerkship director.

Welcome, Eamon C. Armstrong, MD, MS, faculty physician. Dr. Armstrong will provide clinical services at Banner - University Medicine Family Medicine Clinic at Alvernon, and serve as FCM's clerkship director. As clerkship director, Dr. Armstrong will be in charge of the six-week core family medicine rotation that second and third-year medical students complete. He will be responsible for orientating the medical students and setting up introductory teaching at the beginning of their family medicine rotations.

Prior to joining Family and Community Medicine and Banner - University Medicine, Dr. Armstrong worked as a family physician at Tuba City Regional Health Care Corp., where he provided medical care to members of the Navajo and Hopi Nations. He was also the clerkship director for third-year UA medical students completing their family medicine clerkship and for residents from other areas of the country, completing their electives. 

Dr. Armstrong completed medical school at the University of Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, South Africa. He then completed his residency in family medicine at Highland Hospitals & The University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry.
