"The Impact of American Indian Historical Trauma on Culture, Behavior and Health"

As a result of this presentation, participants will be able to:

  1. Understand the interrelationship of American Indian historical trauma, intergenerational trauma, and adverse childhood experiences -- and the impact of health and wellness.
  2. Examine the basic neuroscience of behavior, and behavioral modification.
  3. Understand the evolution of the "culture" of violence and self-medication.
