Grant D. Senner, MD

Academic / Professional Bio: 

Dr. Grant Senner, MD is a physician executive with more than thirteen years of progressive healthcare leadership experience. His diverse background includes expertise in biomedical technology and commercialization, health finance, medical reimbursement and population health management. Upon completion of his Doctorate, Dr. Senner served as Fellow and Consultant for the state of Arizona’s Medicaid agency where he focused on Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) reimbursement models and coordination of care for individuals with complex needs in a patient-centered model. His career in healthcare spans the commercial, private, public and academic sectors. Dr. Senner previously served as Director of Special Projects and Strategic Initiatives in the Office of the Senior Vice President for Health Sciences and the Center for Population Science and Discovery, University of Arizona Health Sciences. His responsibilities included analysis of market opportunities and partnerships, new business development, and support of grant and contract development in the areas of health policy, community health, evaluation research, comparative effectiveness research, and population health analytics. Through his tenured consultancy, he continues to assist biomedical technology companies with the rigors of strategic focus for medical reimbursement and commercialization, and provides healthcare organizations with solutions for complex problems in practice management and healthcare delivery. Dr. Senner joined the Department of Family and Community Medicine, College of Medicine - Tucson in 2015. An Honors graduate of The University of Arizona with a Bachelor of Science in Molecular and Cellular Biology, Dr. Senner attended The University of Arizona College of Medicine – Tucson and graduated with his Doctorate of Medicine in 2004. In 2014, his family established the Senner Endowment for Precision Health within University of Arizona Health Sciences, dedicated to support the use of genetic profiles to guide the diagnosis, prediction, treatment and prevention of disease.
