Academic / Professional Bio: 

Dr. Elliott is a graduate of Edward Via Virginia College of Osteopathic Medicine, Blacksburg Virginia. She completed her residency in family medicine at Womack Army Medical Center, Fort Bragg North Carolina, where she served as chief resident. Dr. Elliott’s diverse background includes providing inpatient, outpatient and battlefield medical care as a flight surgeon and later faculty physician to soldiers, their families and veterans during her seven-year service in the United States Army. As an active duty officer, Dr. Elliott completed a one-year combat tour in Afghanistan supporting Operation New Dawn. Since her honorable discharge from the military, Dr. Elliott has remained in academic medicine where she continues to enthusiastically foster resident learning, development and love for family medicine. Her areas of interest are women’s health, LGBTQ health, office-based procedures and health and wellness promotion. In her spare time, Dr. Elliott enjoys running, reading, traveling with her wife and playing with her dog, Mica.
