Academic / Professional Bio: 

Dr. Mendez completed her medical degree from the University of Monterrey (Mexico), and completed her family medicine residency at the University of Arizona College of Medicine - Tucson. She also completed a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree from the Tulane School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine, with a concentration in International Health and Development. Prior to her MPH training, Dr. Mendez served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Togo, West Africa. She has also conducted health research in Mexico, Honduras and Los Angeles.
