People with developmental disabilities in Arizona comprise a population that is growing, aging, and increasingly diverse. The Sonoran University Center of Excellence in Developmental Disabilities Education, Research and Service (Sonoran UCEDD) is based on the vision of Arizona as a community benefiting from the full participation of all members, with recognition of the strengths brought by diversity in abilities, culture, age, interests and life-experience. The Sonoran UCEDD learns from and supports people living with developmental disabilities in all stages of life through interdisciplinary education, service development, information dissemination, research and impact on public policy.
