Interests in family medicine: Preventive medicine, Women's health and OB, Sports Medicine, Public Health

Why family medicine?  It is one of the few specialties in medicine which allows the physician to treat the whole family and the whole person.  I get to provide continuing care for my patients, their children and maybe even their parents.  I like that we get to spend our time helping our patients get and stay healthy.

Why UA/UPHK?  I like that the focus of the program is rural medicine with opportunities at Indian Health Services sites, which prepares us to practice in any setting we choose at the end of our training.  I also enjoy being based out of a community hospital, but having access to the resources of the University of Arizona.

What do you like about Tucson?  I enjoy the diverse culture of the city and that there are so many activities to do outdoors all year long.
