Efffects of Homeopathy on Clinical Outcomes and Physiological Markers in Posttraumatic Stress Disorder [Samueli Foundation]

This randomized study will compare individualized homeopathic treatment added to standard care with standard care alone in civilians with posttraumatic stress disorder. Emphasis will be on recruiting military veterans with combat-related PTSD and other civilians with violent events as initiating triggers for their PTSD. In addition to clinical measures of PTSD status, urinary free cortisol and acoustic startle will be evaluated as biomarkers of change during treatment.
