Native American Research and Training Center

The Native American Research and Training Center (NARTC) was established in 1983 by The University of Arizona Board of Regents and serves as a national resource for Native American communities and for persons working with Native American populations, especially those with chronic diseases or disabilities.

The overall mission of NARTC is to conduct health related research and training projects that will help improve the quality of life for Native Americans. Because of our commitment to the realization of self-determination, one of the primary objectives of the Center is to promote active participation and partnership with Native American communities in all NARTC research and training programs.
