The University Medical Center is the primary teaching hospital for the University of Arizona College of Medicine. In addition to our own maternal-child health program, our residents rotate through the Emergency Room, Pediatrics, and OB services. The intensive Care Rotation is done with a group of Family Medicine Hospitalists based at University Physicians Hospital at Kino.



• University Physicians Healthcare Hospital at Kino Campus (UPH Hospital)

University Physicians Healthcare, in partnership with the University of Arizona and Pima County, is building Arizona’s next academic medical campus. The new campus is being developed on 70 acres of land surrounding University Physicians Healthcare Hospital at Kino Campus (formerly Kino Community Hospital). It will include teaching and research facilities for the University of Arizona Colleges of Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy, and Public Health, along with physicians’ offices and specialized medical treatment centers, including the Women’s Health and Resource Center. As part of the campus master plan, UPH Hospital at Kino Campus is being reestablished as a full-service hospital and outpatient treatment center to serve southern Tucson and surrounding communities.

Currently the Residency rotations being done at UPH Hospital include the adult inpatient service, Surgery, Gynecology, and Pediatric Out-Patient Clinics. In 2007-2008, UPH Hospital Rotations will expand to include Emergency Medicine / Urgent Care and Cardiology.
