Edward Paul, MD
Dr. Paul joined the department in 2004 after 18 years of teaching and administrative experience at two community-hospital-based family medicine residency programs (Phoenix Baptist Hospital and Penn State University’s program in Lebanon, PA). Prior to teaching, he was in private practice for two years in Lunenburg, MA. He is currently board certified in Family Medicine.
After graduating from medical school at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine, Dr. Paul completed his Family Medicine residency training at St. Joseph’s Hospital & Medical Center in Phoenix. Additional professional training has included completion of a Faculty Development Fellowship, and recent training in Medical Acupuncture.
Dr. Paul is currently the Medical Director of the Alvernon family medicine office. He has a special interest in Integrative Medicine and chronic pain management. He teaches in the office and on our Family Medicine inpatient service at The University Medical Center. Dr. Paul also actively practices and teaches medical acupuncture.
Outside of medicine he enjoys spending time with his wife and three daughters, and playing and writing music (banjo and guitar).
