Lane Johnson, MD

Lane JohnsonDr. Johnson is Director of the MD-MPH Dual Degree Program, and Director of the Longitudinal Clinical Curriculum (Clinical Preceptor) Program at the University of Arizona College of Medicine. Areas of special interest and research include Public Health, Clinical Prevention, Medical Education, Rural Health, and Alternative Therapies. Dr. Johnson is a graduate of the University of Arizona College of Medicine, where he also completed his residency. He also has a Master’s in Public Health from the University of California at Berkeley. After residency, Dr. Johnson was Medical Director for United Community Health Center, a consortium of rural clinics for six years. He was a physician and Medical Director at Broadway Family Health Center, a University of Arizona Family Practice Clinic for six years before assuming his present duties. Dr. Johnson sees patients at the UPH Kino site.

Dr. Johnson is Board Certified in Family Practice. He has been affiliated with the American Academy of Family Practice, the Arizona Association of Community Health Centers, The National Association of Community Health Centers, the Western Clinician’s Network, and the American Academy of Medical Acupuncture.

Dr. Johnson speaks some Spanish.
