  • CODAC's New Name
    • During the month of December 2005, I observed how the CODAC Member Resource Center was being run. I experienced the joys of being a new employee for approximately two weeks while attending the clinical training. The Alumni Guild was developed in July of 2005 by a small group of RSSs who strongly believed that some type of on-going support and training opportunities needed to be available for RSSs who were currently providing peer support services and also for those who had just completed training and were entering the workforce.
  • Crisis Intervention Training
    • In December 2005, CRSSs - Christina Jasberg, Hope Gonzales, Ken Rogers and Wanda Black, sat on a panel at the Crisis Intervention Training (CIT) located at the Police Training Academy. The experience was empowering.
  • USPRA/CPRP - A Next Step for Recovery Support Specialists
    • The United States Psychiatric Rehabilitation Association (USPRA) offers a credential that is a promising opportunity for Recovery Support Specialists (RSS) to take the next step in their careers as peer support providers. It is called the Certified Psychiatric Rehabilitation Practitioner (CPRP) credential.
