Provision of Training and Technical Assistance to U. Minnesota STAR Project [DOD: subcontract to U Minn]

The purpose of this contract has been to provide the Service Tobacco Addiction Reduction Project [STAR] at the University of Minnesota with consultation, data management and technical assistance in preparing designated persons to deliver training in tobacco cessation.  The University of Arizona team will:  provide final revision and updating of previously prepared curriculum and materials including training videos to meet the identified needs of the military audience; deliver the materials; manage data manage; analyse data; and provide telephone and distance consulting on project and training implementation issues.  Final training materials will be completed by the end of the project. Training at designated bases will be ongoing depending on scheduling by the STAR Project team at UMKC. Data collection and training evaluation issues will be reviewed on an ongoing basis.
