Cultural Competence in the Context of Type II Diabetes, Phase II [NIDDK]

The major goals of this project are to build on the work begun in Phase I by further developing and testing the effectiveness of an Internet-based, interactive module on culturally competent approaches to patients with or at risk for type 2 diabetes. As part of this study, we are validating the cultural competence assessment tool developed in Phase 1. The completed course will then be tested on a randomized sample of practicing primary care physicians.
