In collaboration with the College of Public Health, NARTC helps coordinate pilot studies being conducted at two sites: one Navajo community and two neighborhoods in South Tucson. In addition, the Center also conducts seminar or conferences on the current research examining the cultural aspect of treating two major chronic health problems confronting Latino and Native American communities: type 2 diabetes and substance abuse.
