Didactics

The University of Arizona Sports Medicine Fellowship has several formats for ongoing didactics. We have a periodic (and as need presents) didactic, noon time session for the teaching faculty, fellows and physical therapists and athletic trainers to cover in a more discussion format key topics of interest in a multispecialty perspective.  We also have a quarterly journal club combined with the faculty and fellows of sports medicine and orthopedic sports medicine as well as interested residents from family medicine, emergency medicine, pediatrics and orthopedics.  Mondays during lunch, we have formal didactics (see example).  We also have review sessions designed to go over core knowledge, which will prepare the fellow to take the sports medicine CAQ.
